Next Gen XBOX discussion

Next Gen XBOX Game Release Confirmation
Halo 5, Doom 4, Half life 3, thief ( the reboot), Call of duty: Ghosts, FIFA 2014, Left for Dead 3.

Rumors are welcomed and Confirmation will be updated but here is what I have so far.
The price will between $300 to $500 not counting your state tax or tax if any.

Rumors:
Online only
No disc drive
No used games
Bluray disc

What's there to discuss? This console will be a complete waste of time. Even if none of those rumors are true, there is no striking reason to pay $400-$500 for this console. All it is is a 360 with better graphics and a Kinect built in. Whippy ding.

Xbox 720 should be added to the Microsoft subforum.

For the last time people, IT IS NOT CALLED THE 720!

The current name is Project Durango, and the official name is probably going to be Xbox Next.

If this thing has online only, or no disk drive then I'm out. EA's New Sim City pulled that must be online at all time bull crap and that's the reason i'm not buying it. So if Microsoft pulls that, it's not worth it to me.

Ok guys just to let you know, I have gotten news from a friend that works for microsoft and he says that the new xbox will not have to be connected to internet at all times. This will clear up the confusion and I hope you will buy the next gen xbox. Also I should say that the new xbox will not be backwards compatable. Sorry to say you won't be playing xbox 360 games on the new gen xbox.

Assuming what this man said is true, I definitely will not be buying the new console. There is no excuse to not include backwards compatibility, so it is obviously a ploy by Microsoft to earn more money and inconvenience the rest of us. I refuse to support such poor business practices, and there is enough replay value on my 360 to last a lifetime.

Of course, I could also make my own console once I finish college.

I agree with Polish. I see no reason for the new console at all. The graphics are fine with me on the 360. I first started playing video games on the Coleco Vision (look it up). And when we have to pay $60 for a game and who knows how much else for add-ons, then to have a new console that isnt backwards compatable to play said games that cost way too much money, Microsoft can politely go F' themselves.
